Race Tires
- Race Tires are defined as the two (2) sets of tires purchased from SKUSA as part of the entry process and delivered at the event. Race Tires are marked with serial numbers specific to the related entry and are signed out to the participant at the event Tire Desk.
- For all classes EXCEPT Rotax Senior and Rotax Masters, the MG Yellow Type “SKUSA-FZ” is the spec Race Tire and the only slick that can be used in qualifying, heats, LCQ’s and mains.  Competition rain tires are open spec, but must be new with whiskers.
- For Rotax Senior and Master classes, RMC rules apply and the MOJO D1 (dry) and BridgestoneYJP (wet) are the spec tires and the only tires that can be used in qualifying, heats and mains.
- A total of four (4) front and four (4) rear Race Tires may be managed at the discretion of the competitor for qualifying, heats and main. Should the Race Director declare a wet race, a maximum of two sets of “marked” rain tires may be utilized.
- Tires are NOT included in your entry fee. PKC is the official tire provider for the SuperNats and two (2) sets of Race Tires (MG’s or MoJo’s) per class must be purchased from PKC for delivery at the event. To insure availability, Race Tires should be ordered from PKC prior to November 1st.
- The Tire Desk will open and close on Wednesday and Thursday per the published schedule. Competitors are required to pick up their two (2) sets of Race Tires (slicks)Â and have a minimum of one (1) and a maximum of two (2) sets of participant supplied rain tires (mounted OK)Â marked during these time periods. Only Race Tires (slicks) received from the Tire Desk and rain tires marked by the Tire Desk are eligible for competition at this event.
- Any tire issues occuring after Tire Desk closure on Thursday should be reported to the SKUSA Info Center and they will be handled on a case by case basis.
- Tires used in practice and warm-up sessions are open spec with the exception of the last practice sessions on Wednesday for SuperPro’s and TaG Seniors which will be timed for determining qualifying group order on Thursday. Tires utilized in the last practice session on Wednesday for SuperPro’s and TaG Seniors must be spec, but it is not required that they be Race Tires.
