EKN Trackside Live: Superkarts! USA Pro Tour SummerNationals - Preview
Friday, 20 July 2012 00:00
The third running of the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour SummerNationals is set for this weekend (July 20-22) at the Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. A record high total number of entries (182) have already registered, making it the largest SummerNationals to date and eclipsing the total reached in April at the opening weekend of the Pro Tour. Tom Kutscher and the SKUSA staff have been busy preparing for what should be another exciting weekend of racing at one of the top facilities in the country.

The Miller Motorsports Park was finished construction in 2006 and features a diverse line-up of circuits, hosting a number of national and international events for many different forms of motorsports. The karting circuit features the 9/10-mile ‘Star Trek’ layout and will be contested in the counter-clockwise direction. The staff at the MMP circuit is welcoming SKUSA racers with open arms. A ‘SummerNationals 100’ endurance race in their MMP Rental Kart fleet has been added to the weekend schedule. The 100-lap team race will feature drivers, crew and SKUSA staff all going wheel-to-wheel for bragging rights Thursday evening. Friday after the practice day is complete, Superkarts! USA will be hosting a dinner for all SummerNationals attendees, sponsored by Rodizio Grill, Buddy Rice Karting, and Rolison Performance Group.

Another Class is SOLD OUT for Supernats 16 -- TaG Junior has topped 80 entries!
Friday, 13 July 2012 16:55
This message is a bit late now, as the TaG Junior class SOLD OUT at 80 entries last Thursday! Names for the WAIT LIST are coming in steadily. Here's the drill! If you are a driver that wants to race in a class that is already SOLD OUT (and you are not on the RESERVED list), send an email immediately with your name, class, phone number and email address to be added to the wait list for your class. The wait lists are managed closely, and additional drivers WILL get in based on that list! You will get an email confirmation when you have been added to the wait list, so please be patient and trust that these are being handled in the exact order of receipt. If you're not sure what RESERVED means, you are not paying attention!

RESERVED MEANS: If you are a driver who has raced at any SKUSA regional or national event so far this (prior to July 1) -- or you were registered for the Summernats by July 1 -- no worries! Even if your class is already marked sold out, your spot is being held for you, AND YOU HAVE UNTIL AUGUST 31ST to register and pay. Anytime between now and then will work! When you are ready to register for the Supernats, send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we will coordinate with you for your spot to be opened to get registered online. If you have a reserved spot, but you KNOW that you cannot race at Supernats 16 due to other commitments or schedule conflicts, please send a courtesy email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to release your reserved spot to the next person.

Update and Clarification for SuperNats 16 Race Registration: 4 Classes are SOLD OUT -- with 2 more on the verge of capping out, as well!
Tuesday, 03 July 2012 16:53
The SKUSA head office is blazing with activity since the online store opened last Saturday night at midnight (July 1st) for online entries for Supernats 16! From the moment that the online Supernats registration opened, the classes of S2, TaG Senior and TaG Master were already SOLD OUT -- having already reached their initial class caps with JUST the racers who have a reserved spot in their class for having run a ProKart Challenge or Pro Tour race so far this season! Now the S4 class has also reached its initial cap of 80 entries and is officially SOLD OUT, mostly including just the reserved drivers. TAG JUNIOR AND TAG CADET WILL BE THE NEXT 2 CLASSES TO REACH THEIR CLASS CAPS WITH 80 ENTRIES EACH!

If you are a driver who has already run a PKC/SKUSA race this year (or you were registered for the Summernats by July 1), no worries!
