The date for the final event weekend of the Rocky Mountain ProKart Challenge will remain the same -- September 1st and 2nd, with practice on Friday August 31st -- although the location has been changed to GJMS. All of the current series sponsors -- as well as a few new ones -- are stepping up to assure we end this season in true Rocky Mountain style fashion! Also, the BORDER WAR is BACK ON! Utah is bringing the trophy and packing their top shifter and TaG pilots to assure it comes back with them. Lets see if the Colorado racers can snatch it and give it a well respected home until the next year -- and beyond! CRG USA, Woodsource Racing, Miller Motorsports Park, Billet Performance and The Rocky Mountain ProKart Challenge will honor the 2012 season Champions at a banquet held at the Grand Junction Motorspeedway on Sunday evening, Sept. 2nd, at the conclusion of the day's racing. Tentatively scheduled for 7:30pm, the Grand Junction pro shop will transform into a buffet-style banquet facility and the festivities will begin! The Round 5 and 6 race winners -- as well as the season's Champions -- will be awarded, a raffle for door prizes will take place, and yes, we will find out who is taking that new CRG chassis home! (Winner must be present.) Banquet tickets will be available through the online store (along with more info) coming soon. Plan on some bench racing, good food, cold drinks and a relaxing evening for all. More to come as it develops, but I promise you: this will be one race weekend you will not want to miss! I guarantee this will NOT be your average regional race! Updated info can be found at http://www.superkartsusa.com/regional/rocky-mountain-pkc.html as it comes together. |
