SKUSA Pro Tour

X30 JR/SR Racing Format
Due to high demand in these classes we will be splitting them into 2 groups for Practice, Qualifying and Pre-Finals as described below.  44 will advance to the main event.

Practice

These classes will be put in number order and split into P1 and P2.

Qualifying

The last practice on Friday will re-order you into Q2 and Q1 groups. Q1 being the faster half.  After both qualifying sessions are complete, they will be merged by best-time. Competitors will then be split into two Pre-Finals, 'Evens' and 'Odds'.

Pre-Final (PF)

The grids for each Pre-Final will be set as follows:
  • Top qualifier will start PF 'Odds' on pole
  • 2nd place qualifier will start PF 'Evens' on pole
  • 3rd place qualifier will start PF 'Odds' off pole, and so on.
The top 15 finishers from each PF will advance to the Final. The remaining drivers will make up the LCQ.

Any penalties earned in the PF, will assessed in that session (including tech penalties). Please keep in mind that the way you will be lined up for the Finals means these penalties carry twice as much weight.

Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ)

The LCQ Grid will be set as follows:
  • The Remaining drivers from PF "Odds" will make up the Pole side of the LCQ grid in their finishing order.
  • The remaining drivers from PF "Evens" will make up the Off-Pole side of the LCQ grid in their finishing order.
14 drivers will advance to the Final. The day ends for everyone else.

Finals

The grid for the Final will be set as follows: (Max of 44 competitors)
  • The fastest lap of each of the PF winners will determine the Pole/Off-Pole sides of the grid.
  • The PF winner with the fastest lap puts their group on the Pole side of the Final grid.
  • The other advancing drivers will line up on the Off-Pole side of the grid.
  • The drivers advancing from the LCQ will be added to the back of the grid in LCQ finishing order.
