Champ Car Rotax Challenge Classes at SuperNats XI
Friday, 04 May 2007 17:00

Superkarts! USA has announced the addition of the Champ Car Rotax Kart Challenge to the SuperNationals XI race program to be held at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, NV on November 14-18, 2007. Two Rotax classes are set to compete for the most coveted of all prizes in the Rotax program. Rotax Senior and Masters drivers will race for prize packages including direct qualification, plus all expenses to the 2008 World Finals for the Senior winner and direct qualification, plus limited expenses to the 2008 US Grand Nationals for the Masters winner (details below). Rotax drivers from North, Central and South America are invited, as well as drivers from around the globe to compete for the Senior class World Finals qualification.

Superkarts! USA CEO Tom Kutscher is excited about bringing the Rotax program into the SuperNationals XI event schedule, “I have been eager to expand our reach into other areas of kart racing, and the Rotax program is about as exciting as it gets. The fact that the prize package is so strong is one thing, but the real excitement will come when SuperNationals XI entries open on July 1.”

In 2007, the second year for a Kutscher-controlled SKUSA, participants will see many event details arrive earlier than in prior years. Kutscher adds, “Both Joe Ramos, who runs the Rotax Challenge in the United States, and I expect to see some big international names come over and run- especially with this early lead time. I want to thank Joe for providing SKUSA with this opportunity to expand our reach globally.”

Last year’s SuperNationals X was an overwhelming success, and attracted the top drivers, teams and tuners in the sport as well as a stellar array of sponsors. This year, there are already some big names being thrown about in both the driver and sponsor areas - with announcements waiting in the SKUSA wings.

A steady of stream of information will be released to the karting media all season long about the event and those attending. The media attention and atmosphere surrounding the race last year was unprecedented, and the race day coverage was unmatched in the event’s history. This year will be no different, and with Rotax on board, the event is simply unstoppable.

SSC Racing Sales Manager and Rotax Program Director Joe Ramos Jr. agrees, “The SuperNationals has been the number one karting event in the states for the last 10 years and, by positioning the Champ Car Rotax Kart Challenge alongside SuperNationals XI, the event’s stature can only increase.” Look for enhanced SSC Racing and SSC East presence in all areas of SuperNationals XI this year as the companies continue to lead the karting community into the future.
