Superkarts! USA racing returned to the Simraceway Performance Karting Center to host Round Four of the California ProKart Challenge (Photo: dromophotos.com)
This past weekend marked an exciting return for the Superkarts! USA organization to the historic Sonoma, California area. The Simraceway Performance Karting Center has been home to a number of karting events over the years, including the inaugural SKUSA Pro Tour event in April 2010. Superkarts! USA returned to a cheerful, welcoming crowd on June 6-7 to host Round Four of the California ProKart Challenge. Over 130 drivers competed on the famed National course in the reverse direction – the largest turn out at this track year-to-date for any regional or national series. The weather was picture perfect for racing, and the PKC championship chase saw a shake-up as a number of northern California drivers put their ‘home track’ advantage to good use toward reaching the top step of the podium.

Today is the last day for racers who competed at the 2014 SKUSA SpringNationals in Dallas to reserve their spot to race in Modesto for the Summernats – ahead of the general population of competitors that want to be included in this SURE-TO-BE-SOLD-OUT event! Specifically, this opportunity disappears at 9m PST tonight – Monday, June 9th. Details are posted here, including the link for ‘qualified’ drivers to reserve their spot: Then they will have until midnight on Monday, June 23rd to use their special online link to complete registration with payment.
Online registration opens to the general public for the SummerNationals in Modesto Thursday night, June 26 at the stroke of midnight PST (leading into Friday morning)! A preliminary track map, pricing, and an overview of the event schedule has been posted on the Event Pages.
Host Hotels will open later this week. Watch for it!

SKUSA headquarters is CRAZY BUSY with activity – not only with the opening of the Priority Pre-Entry Program for the Summernats in Modesto this coming August, but also for SKUSA’s upcoming return to Sonoma for PKC Round #4 at Simraceway this coming weekend!

Announced prior to this year’s Superkarts! USA SpringNationals, Pro Tour competitors will be able to take advantage of a priority entry for the 2014 SKUSA SummerNationals. Those competitors who took part at the 2014 SKUSA SpringNats at the Dallas Karting Complex this May are being given special access to registration for the next stop on the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour, set this year for August 1-3 as the Modesto Grand Prix in northern California.
The following details the procedure for Superkarts! USA Pro Tour SpringNationals competitors to secure their spot in the SKUSA SummerNationals Priority Pre-Entry Program (PPEP):
