The previous SSE 'Engine Supplemental' allowed the removal of the exhaust spacer. This was inadvertantly left out during the recent rulebook overhaul and will be added back in the next rulebook updates as below, and remains in effect.
402.6.5 SSE Pipe and Silencer: As factory supplied with kit (pipe 21/M/18 - silencer Elto - 28mm straight tube U-bend). Up to a 20mm thick aluminum spacer with 1mm gasket both sides allowed. May be run without aluminum spacer with one 1mm gasket.
