SuperNats XI Entries and Pit Reservations OPEN!

At 12:01am today, SKUSA began taking race entries and pit reservations for SuperNationals XI in Las Vegas, November 14-18th.  Interest is high with less than 20 rooms left from the SKUSA block of 300 rooms at Hooters.

DON’T MISS OUT!  There are entry caps in all classes — if you snooze, you could be watching from the sidelines.

Superkarts! USA Announces Junior Spec 125 Marketing Initiative

Superkarts! USA, the leader in Spec Shifter racing in the United States, has announced a driver based marketing initiative that will assist in the development of career kart racers and young professional drivers with the intent to keep their roots firmly planted in the sport as they progress through professional racing ranks. Leading the way in this initiative is the formation of the S5 Jr. class, which will debut at SuperNationals XI this November 14-18 in Las Vegas, NV. Never before has a kart racing organization attempted to construct a progressive marketing program that feeds manufacturer and US importer efforts into driver development programs that are geared towards assisting young drivers growth and development over time.

Spec Tires Announced

SKUSA has announced that the spec tires for SuperNationals XI will be as follows:

  • All classes except Rotax – MG Yellow, Type “SKUSA-FZ” slick, rain tire open spec
  • Rotax classes — MOJO D1 slick, Bridgestone “YJP” rain tire

SuperNats XI TaG Class Changes

SKUSA has announced two changes in the TaG Class rules when compared to last year’s event.

  • Only 2 stroke engines will be allowed in both the TaG Senior and TaG Masters classes.  SKUSA has never been entirely comfortable with the equity proposition between a 2 stroke design at 125cc and a 4 stroke design at 250cc, so we are eliminating the issue for this event.
  • Last year, a TaG Master driver needed to either be (i) 35 years old or (ii) weigh more than 200lbs.  This year, TaG Masters must be 30 years old (as of 12/31/07) with NO age exception for driver weight.
