Moving Up in Age Classes
Recently an issue has been brought to our attention regarding moving up in age classes. Classes that are usually considered entry level, club or amateur classes are not considered as part of this rule. We may make a more fomal announcement at a future date.
Live Timing and Results
Live timing and results are only available in our own SKUSA App or it's sister app Race Hero. We are no longer using Race Monitor. Unlike Race Monitor, the results in the SKUSA App will be updated as penalities are assesed or reversed or otherwise clear tech. We understand there are currently some features missing from the live timing but we promise they are coming. Download links to the iOS and Android versions of the SKUSA App are to the left of this post.
Spark plug clarification
While we allow the use of indexing washers, head temperature sensors or stock spark washers the over all installed length of the plug may not exceed 18.5 mm.

A new era is underway at Superkarts! USA as the company begins the eighth season of their industry-leading SKUSA Pro Tour. Launched in 2010, the championship series has seen significant development and growth since the first laps were turned in Sonoma, California to kick-off the inaugural season. The positive storylines are abundant. Record numbers have continued over the past few seasons, and the introduction of the Evinco tire program has been well received. SKUSA continues to enjoy the solid ladder system in Stock Honda competition, and the excellent relationship with IAME has cemented the future of the SKUSA Pro Tour and the organization. The introduction of the WinterNationals – which are set for March 3-5 at the NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans, Louisiana – will begin a new structure for the SKUSA Pro Tour, and it will also mark the debut of a new Director of Competition position and the introduction of a video marshalling system for 2017.

The 2017 race season is underway in Superkarts! USA competition with a busy few weeks for the organization. At the end of February is a double-header weekend featuring the opening round of the Texas ProKart Challenge followed by the inaugural SKUSA Pro Tour WinterNationals at the NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans. Up first, however, was the start of the California ProKart Challenge – the flagship regional program – beginning its lucky 13th season with the annual visit to the Buttonwillow Raceway Park on February 10-11. The two-day event was dampened by rain all day for Friday’s practice before things dried out on the Saturday race day. Nearly 190 drivers in the 11 categories took part in the event to begin the new season, and the on-track action featured returning victors, first-time winners, and a strong class of graduating drivers moving up to the next level.

We are no longer requiring an active and credentialed membership on MotorsportReg before allowing you to enter this event. This will make it easier for drivers and team principles to register. A current SKUSA membership is still required, as usual, so you will be contacted to purchase or renew your membership if it will not be current through the duration of the event. The 2017 ProKart Challenge race season has snuck up on us quickly! TONIGHT at midnight PST – Monday, February 6th – is the DEADLINE to pre-register for the CA-PKC Round 1 at Buttonwillow this weekend! Some new changes are that you MUST be current on your SKUSA membership BEFORE you can register to race, and we have moved race entries and memberships to the popular MotorsportReg.com program.
