EKN Exclusive: Superkarts! USA SuperNationals 20 – Preview Series – X30 Master

In 2003, Touch and Go (TaG) engines were welcomed to the SuperNationals event with a Masters division, opening up with 15 competitors at the Rio. Michael Brookes was the inaugural winner and was able to repeat the following year for the first edition at the Sam Boyd Stadium location. Since then, three others have earned multiple wins in the category, now labeled the X30 Master division with the move to the IAME powerplant. For years, the category reached the 44-driver cap for entries early as the first class to sell out once registration opened to public. Superkarts! USA expanded the category past the 44-mark for 2016, with 53 drivers set to compete for a spot on the SuperSunday grid.  Read full story on eKartingNews.com

Superkarts! USA Announces Inaugural Hall of Fame Class
Wednesday, 09 November 2016 00:00

Superkarts! USA is celebrating a major milestone in its exciting history this month with the 20th running of their prestigious SuperNationals, the race that came from humble beginnings in the Las Vegas desert in 1997. Hitting that 20-year mark is extremely significant, as it speaks to the dedication and passion of the people who helped build SKUSA’s foundation and to those who have fueled its continued growth. To this end, Superkarts! USA Tom Kutscher announced last month that the company would be debuting a new Hall of Fame this year to celebrate this organization’s rich history. The first class of inductees will be honored on SuperSunday at this year’s SuperNationals, and the inaugural foursome includes Don Janowski, Jim Murley, Alan Rudolph and Greg Bell.

EKN Exclusive: Superkarts! USA SuperNationals 20 – Preview Series – S4 Super Master
Tuesday, 08 November 2016 00:00

The second new category is set to make its SKUSA SuperNationals debut at the 20th edition, that being the S4 Super Master Stock Moto division. Created for the regional programs under the Superkarts! USA organization, there was enough support from the racers to move the category to the Pro Tour level in 2016. Racing within the S4 Master Stock Moto division at the SpringNationals and SummerNationals, the class will host its own group within the SuperNationals 20 schedule. Twenty-Nine drivers are making history as the first ever S4 Super Master field at the SuperNationals, all vying to become the inaugural winner.  Read full story on eKartingNews.com

EKN Exclusive: Superkarts! USA SuperNationals 20 – Preview Series – X30 Junior

The TaG Junior category was introduced at the SKUSA SuperNationals back in 2008 when the event made its return to the Rio. The addition of TaG Junior – along with an HPV class won by Tommy Andersen – brought Junior level drivers back to the Las Vegas extravaganza after a two-year absence. In the eight years that have played out since the class was brought into the class roster, no driver has been able to repeat as SuperNationals champion. That said, 2015 winner Arthur Leist most definitely has the ability to become the first to do so. The Brazilian was a front-runner throughout the event last year, starting P5 on SuperSunday and driving away to victory after securing the lead on lap two. The 15-year-old is returning to defend his crown against 58 other young drivers, who are all trying to etch their name in history.  Read full story on eKartingNews.com

EKN Exclusive: Superkarts! USA SuperNationals 20 – Preview Series – Mini Swift

The TaG Cadet division was introduced in 2010 when the current SKUSA Pro Tour was launched. The class sold out that year, and expanded to 88 drivers since – filling up year after year. Now with the introduction of the Micro Swift class, the Mini Swift category features the elder Cadet level drivers piloting the IAME powered karts. The class is still opened up to the 88-driver total, nearly reaching that mark with 73 drivers set to do battle in Las Vegas.  Read full story on eKartingNews.com
