The 2015 season began for the California ProKart Challenge, the flagship regional program of Superkarts! USA, under changing conditions at the Buttonwillow Raceway Park over February 6-7. Now entering its 11th year, the six-round championship series welcomed sunny skies for practice day, then was hit by cooler temperatures and rain falling from the clouds that surrounded the 7/10-mile course on race day. A revised class structure welcomed 159 entries over the now 11 categories offered this season, including a record 42 TaG Cadet/Cadet Rookie drivers. For many drivers, Saturday’s victory was their first in the series – or at least a first in their new category – as the chase for a piece of the $75,000 prize package in 2015 begins.

Online Store is Closed for PKC Round 1 at Buttonwillow – But we will have Rain Tires at the track!
Wednesday, 04 February 2015 16:06
In case you saw the latest weather forecast, there is now a chance of rain this weekend in Buttonwillow. But don’t fret if you do not have a set of Rain Tires in your trailer! We race --rain or shine -- and we will bring extra rain tires to the track. No need to pre-order them now, as we will bring everything we have.

The PKC Registration desk will be open for check-in and on-site purchases starting Friday morning at 7:00am and Saturday morning starting at 6:30am. We were also able to get extra pit spots and camping spots in Row 6 for our attendees, so you will also have a place to park and can camp on site upon arrival! Here is the latest pit map, and here is the latest TENTATIVE EVENT SCHEDULE (which was recently adjusted to accommodate drivers running 2 classes).

See you there!
