All Supernationals X drivers will be happy to know that Michael Crawford, owner of Michael Crawford Motorsports, and Superkarts! USA is pleased to announce the creation of a new driver recognition award at the 2006 SuperNationals. One driver will be awarded the chance for an oval rookie test in an Indy Racing League Indy Pro Series car. The lucky driver could come from any class- and will be based on an overall impression that driver makes on the team–both in driving ability, and character.

This new award has a cash value of $8,000.00 ($7,500.00 test and $500.00 IRL license) and will include 100 miles of testing at an Indy Racing League approved facility. The test will also include the attendance of an Indy Racing League official to witness the test. Successful completion of the test will result in the driver being licensed to compete in all Indy Pro Series events in 2007.

This prize package includes the IRL license fee, track rental, the use of the car, engine miles, the crew, fuel, tires, etc. This is everything necessary to run the car except the driver¹s travel expenses, a crash damage deposit and the cost of a custom fitted seat. The date of the test is to be 90 days or less after the conclusion of SuperNationals X.

The lucky winner will be awarded the prize at the conclusion of Sunday’s event. Details regarding eligibility are forthcoming- but remember it does not matter which class of racing you are participating as any driver is eligible.
