Superkarts! USA Requesting Track Design Ideas for SuperNationals 27 |
Monday, 22 July 2024 08:10 |
In under 115 days, the world of karting will once again converge on Las Vegas for the 27th edition of the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals – set for November 13-17 outside the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The third visit to the facility in SuperNationals history greets karters from around the world to a new parking lot area, providing ample space for parking, paddock, and of course the temporary circuit where over 500 competitors will battle. Now into the facility layout planning stages of Superkarts! USA SuperNationals 27, the organization is asking the karting community to develop this year’s track. Happening now until July 29, karters can submit either their favorite track – temporary or permanent – past or present (no elevation changes or bridges can be constructed) in Stage 1 of the process. The form (link below) will ask you to submit the name of the circuit you wish to be built at SKUSA SuperNationals 27, including track website if available. “Our goal is to welcome everyone to be involved with our track layout for this year’s SuperNationals,” commented SKUSA CEO Tom Kutscher. “We’ve had several awesome temporary circuits in the last 26 editions of the race. Now, we want to blow up the status que and replicate a layout that racers want to see built outside the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Lonato, Suzuka, Le Mans, Genk, La Conca, any circuit you think would be a killer track to race on in Vegas, we want you to tell us.” Once the Stage 1 process is complete, SKUSA will collect the number of submissions and review to ensure the most popular layouts are safe and feasible. Stage 2 begins on August 12, and for one week, the karting community will vote amongst the final tracks. The layout with the most votes by August 19 at Midnight PST will be used as the base for the circuit at SKUSA SuperNationals 27.
