The official class lineup includes:
“It’s no secret that the Rotax Grand Finals and the SuperNationals fall on the same weekend this year,” said Superkarts! USA CEO Tom Kutscher. “That left a lot of racers with a difficult decision to make. In the interest of doing what is best for the sport, we wanted to provide an opportunity for Rotax competitors who will not be traveling to Portimão.” “The SuperNats has always attracted racers from around the world,” Kutscher continued. “Bringing Rotax Mini MAX and Rotax Senior MAX back into the event gives another group of drivers and teams the chance to race in Las Vegas, and we expect both classes to draw strong international interest.” Both Rotax categories will include prize and event purses in line with other SKUSA classes. Full prize details will be announced following the SKUSA ProTour season finale in Indiana. We know many drivers elect to run multiple classes and that scheduling is important. The projected morning group will include Mini Swift, KA100 Junior, KA100 Senior, Rotax Senior MAX and KA100 Master. The projected afternoon group will feature Rotax Mini MAX, X30 Junior, Micro Swift, Pro X30 and Pro Shifter. The final schedule and morning/afternoon groupings remain subject to change based on registration numbers and final class capacity. After record registration and an early sellout for many classes in 2025, SKUSA is again encouraging competitors to be ready when registration opens. Once a class reaches capacity, additional drivers will be placed on a waitlist with no guarantees. “Last year showed us how quickly this event can fill,” Kutscher said. “If you know you want to race, do not wait. We also strongly encourage every competitor to review the updated terms and conditions, especially the cancellation and refund policy which have been updated to discourage late cancellations that make it very difficult to accommodate drivers who have been sitting on a waitlist and hoping for an entry.” The 2026 lineup also includes one notable change, as Master Shifter will not be offered. The decision follows declining registration and participation in the category across the national calendar in recent seasons, along with increased demand from other classes. “That was not an easy class to remove,” Kutscher added. “We have a lot of respect for the racers who have supported Master Shifter, but the participation numbers have continued to fall. With limited track time and other classes growing, we had to use that schedule position where it would accommodate more competitors.” SKUSA expects the two Rotax classes to fill quickly. As the event is open registration and spaces are filled on a first come first serve basis, all racers planning to compete are strongly encouraged to register as soon as entries become available. |
