Attention TEAMS participating in the 2024 SKUSA Supernationals!
(Updated 10/2/24)
As some of you already know SKUSA has been informed of new regulations that pertain to some of our larger SELF-OWNED team tents defined Per Clark County Department of Building and Fire Prevention as:
“Any membrane, tent, or FTTT over 400 square feet and any canopies over 700 square feet. Tents and canopies that are together or are separated by less than 10 feet are considered same.” Additionally, any canopy with a single wall attached becomes a tent."
The above mentioned shall require a permit issued by the Clark County Fire Prevention Bureau to exist and inhabit during the event.
Applying for a Las Vegas Nevada tent occupancy permit is a little complex. New this year, SKUSA is working with the Clark County Fire Prevention Bureau to assit you in this process.
-
If the size of your tent is as big or larger than the size listed above, a $150.00 fee will be added to your pit invoice to cover the permitting requirements for this event.
-
Your pit area and tent drawing will be submitted on behalf of SKUSA and entered onto the master pit map which will be submitted to the Clark County Fire Prevention Bureau for inspection of safe occupancy.
-
This inspection will take place on Tuesday 11/12/2024. The Fire Marshall will visit you at your pit/tent to assure that ALL proper fire and safety procedures are being followed and in place and the tent is properly secured.
-
They may also request to see a copy or view the tents Flame Certification. Make sure you have this available.
-
Any violations will be expected to be addressed immediately and you will be rescheduled for a second inspection either same day or the next. A second failed inspection may cause you to shut down and your $150.00 fee WILL NOT be refunded. Compliance is YOUR responsibility.
-
A representative from Safety First Fire Supression will be on site Tuesday 11/12 should your require your fire extinguishers recertified, repaired or refilled.
-
Proper compliance of all fire and safety regulations is defined and listed in the pit request information pages. PLEASE read all the information carefully and completely.
-
Upon inspection, they will be using the pit map you have sent in as a reference. Again, no pictures but a neat drawing in PDF form is required, no exceptions.
