SKUSA Winter Series

Split Class Racing Format
Due to high demand, KA100 Junior will be split into 2 groups as described below.  44 will advance to the main event, the rest will race in a B Main.

Practice

All KA100 Junior entries will be put in number order and split into P1 and P2 groups similar to the SuperNats, with the lower half in P1 and the higher half in P2.  We will post this to SpeedHive and our WhatsApp Channel.

Qualifying

The last practice on Friday will re-order you by time into Q2 and Q1 groups. Q1 being the faster half.  After both qualifying sessions are complete, they will be merged by your best time. Competitors will then be split into two Pre-Finals, Flight A and Flight B.

Pre-Final (PF)

The grids for each Pre-Final will be set as follows:
  • Top qualifier will start PF 'A' on pole
  • 2nd place qualifier will start PF 'B' on pole
  • 3rd place qualifier will start PF 'A' off pole, and so on.
The top 22 finishers from each PF will advance to the Final. The remaining drivers will make up the B Main.

Any penalties earned in the PF, will assessed in that session (including tech penalties). Please keep in mind that the way you will be lined up for the Finals means these penalties carry twice as much weight.

Finals

The grid for the Final will be set as follows: (Max of 44 competitors)
  • The fastest lap of each of the PF winners will determine the Pole/Off-Pole sides of the grid.
    • The PF winner with the fastest lap puts their group on the Pole side of the Final grid.
  • The other advancing drivers will line up on the Off-Pole side of the grid.
The grid for the B Main will be set up similar to the above, with the fastest lap of each PF winner determining which side each group starts on.
