Tuesday, 31 May 2016 08:22
We hope everyone had a great weekend, and that our competitors are ready to race! TONIGHT (Tuesday 5/31) at midnight is the pre-entry cutoff for ProKart Challenge CA Round 4 at Simraceway in Sonoma this weekend. Pre-entry is critical to a smooth running check-in at the track, hence our discounted price!

All Event info has been posted HERE, and the SKUSA staff is gearing up for another big turnout. Everything you need to know, including the detailed schedule for move-in and practice, has been updated on our website. No need to reserve a pit spot or overnight camping – just make sure you have gotten your race entry done before tonight’s deadline. The online STORE has everything you need – including practice tires and extra pit passes for your mechanic and/or family members – EXCEPT you need to bring your own spec fuel and oil! Make sure it’s C12 and Motul 2T Grand Prix. You will likely NOT be able to find any in the area if you wait until the last minute.

See you in Sonoma!

The California ProKart Challenge returns to the track on June 3-4 after taking the month of May off for the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour SpringNationals. Competitors are set on traveling to Northern California to the Simraceway Performance Karting Center in Sonoma for the fourth round of the 2016 season. The incredible ‘National’ circuit in the reverse direction – same as the inaugural Pro Tour event in 2010 – will host what may be the largest event of the series this year with a large contingent of SKUSA racers in the area and the growing numbers that have joined the program already in the first half of the championship.

Gearing up for the event is KC Morrison, Simraceway Technical Director. “I would like to thank the Kutscher family, Superkarts! USA, and all the teams who make the trip year after year to come race at the Simraceway Performance Karting Center. We here at Simraceway cannot wait to see all the teams and drivers in action and are looking forward to yet another great event up here in Sonoma!”

The California ProKart Challenge traveled north to the Monterey Bay Karters facility in Marina, California on April 1-2. The third round of the championship series visited the facility for only the second time in the program’s history, featuring 11 Honda and IAME categories for all ages. The weather was ideal, as the 1/2-mile circuit provided a new and exciting challenge for nearly 160 drivers in attendance. Throughout the weekend the headline was new winners, with eight drivers securing their first victory of the season to tighten up the championship chases.
