ProKart Challenge opens the 2026 season with double round weekend at K1 Circuit (Photo: Spencer Russell – photosbysmr1) The 2026 season for the Superkarts! USA ProKart Challenge marks the 22nd edition of the organization’s flagship regional program. The championship is coming off a strong 2025 season that featured increased numbers from the last several years, enjoying a schedule that featured three premier facilities. This year’s championship format features the same three circuits in a five-weekend, six-round, one-drop structure to welcome drivers from all across the western half of the United States.The 2026 Superkarts! USA ProKart Challenge is set to begin on April 24-26 at the popular K1 Circuit. The Winchester, California facility opened its doors to SKUSA competition for the first time at the end of 2024, welcoming huge numbers over the two weekends of racing. The ProKart Challenge program visited K1 Circuit three times in 2025 and will return for two visits in 2026. The opening event of the new season will feature a double-round format, with Round One being contested on Saturday and Round Two on Sunday. Pre-registration for the opening event of the 2026 SKUSA ProKart Challenge closes on Tuesday, April 21 at 11:59pm PDT before late registration and walk-up begins. Last year’s schedule featured the return of Sonoma Raceway into the Superkarts! USA ProKart Challenge program. The Sonoma, California facility will now host two events in 2026 with Round Three scheduled for May 23-24 and Round Four coming on August 15-16. One of the country’s newest karting facilities returns to the Superkarts! USA ProKart Challenge schedule for 2026. The Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club facility and the Spring Mountain Karting Complex in Pahrump, Nevada welcomed SKUSA for the first time in 2025 and will host Round Five of the 2026 championship on September 12-13. The second visit to K1 Circuit will serve as the 2026 SKUSA ProKart Challenge season finale, scheduled for October 3-4. Classes for the 2026 Superkarts! USA ProKart Challenge remains the same as last season. Pro Shifter and Master Shifter along with the three KA100 classes – Senior, Junior and Master – are joined by Mini Swift and Micro Swift. The FZ Shifter packages were introduced to the series in 2025 and return for the upcoming season. FZ125 Spec Shifter, FZ125 Master Shifter, Junior Shifter and Mini Shifter round out the categories for this season. Evinco Tires remains the spec tire for the program, including the Red ‘SK-M2’ and Blue ‘SK-H2’ compounds. The prize package for the 2026 Superkarts! USA ProKart Challenge features an $84,000 value. The daily podium prizes return in 2026, with each class winner for each round earning a 2026 PKC Entry with tires, second place a 2026 PKC Entry, and third place earning a $50 Race Select credit for their next SKUSA event. This equates to more than $7,000 per round and over $42,000 across the 2026 season. Year-end awards for the top three drivers in each class championship for 2026 is valued at over $42,000. Each class champion will earn a 2026 SKUSA SuperNationals 29 Entry with tires – along with the Guaranteed SuperNationals SuperSunday Starting Spot. Runner-up in the standings earns two 2027 ProKart Challenge Entries with tires. Third place in the championship takes home one 2027 ProKart Challenge Entry with tires.
