| PKC NorCal Set to Cap Debut Season |

The final round of the inaugural season of the Superkarts! USA ProKart Challenge North series will take place on September 13 at the Jim Russell International Karting Center at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. The sixth round will be the deciding factor in the class championships, with the series returning to the popular reverse national track configuration at the 3/4-mile facility. It’s been a two-driver race at the top of the TaG Senior point chase, but when considering the fact that the championship will count the best five of six rounds, it brings the battle up to four competitors for this final shootout. Jason Toft was the early championship leader until Will Martindale’s win last month, which put him on top of the standings. When you drop their lowest weekend point totals, feature winners Brett Buckwalter and Alex Speed are also in the mix, all separated by less than 100 points. With a maximum of 320 points available this weekend, and each session offering a chance for extra points, the fences will be lined when TaG Senior hits the track. Not only will Toft be looking for the edge in the final event in TaG, he will also be focused on locking up the S3 title as well. With a sizable lead over season rival Marc Elliott, Toft will not have to work as hard to earn the crown; surely, however, he will want to go out on top with a win. Toft is not the only driver doing double duty, as Alex Speed -- the recent King of the Streets winner at the Rock Island Grand Prix -- is chasing down S1 point leader Cody Hodgson and current second place driver Jess Peterson. Speed has three wins and will look to add a fourth.  Three drivers have been near perfect on the year, and have all but wrapped up their respective class championships. Craig Corwin goes into the final weekend with four feature wins in G1, leading Ethan Wilson and Jim Kidd in the standings. Already scheduled to move into the S3 division, Matt Alcorn has led the field all year. With just one on-track session out of 16 where he has not crossed the line as the fastest or top finisher, Alcorn has been unstoppable -- with Alex Keith and Sergio Machado racing for runner-up.Herman Ip leads the TaG Masters Light division with four feature wins, leading the point standings over Jim Zootis and David Oroshnik. TaG Masters, the heavier division, has Steve Elo leading before the drop; however, three-time main event winner Rob Soares has the edge going into the final weekend with the drop counted. Soares missed one event due to a broken hand, nearly the only thing that has stopped him from winning each outing. The two will battle in the final weekend for the championship. Added halfway through the season was the HPV-2 Junior division, a popular class in the region. Three drivers are locked at the top spot after two events with last month’s winner Kiel Spaulding, Donavon Wheeler, and Kelsey Nilsson with the same points heading into the final weekend. The drivers that have competed in all three events will have their name included in a drawing at the season-ending banquet for a free entry into the class at the SKUSA SuperNationals XII in Las Vegas. With this event being the first for the North program to utilize the MG Tires FZ compound -- the same tire used for the SuperNats -- many teams and drivers will be coming up from southern California. FX Racing will be on hand with six drivers. Select Shifter will be bringing all of their stock Honda drivers, including two-time PKC champion Bobby Legate, their newest driver. PCH Motorsports will have a few of their best drivers on hand, as well, including Joey Licata Jr. G1 veteran PP Mastro is scheduled to run, as well. The drivers will be competing for an unprecedented championship prize package totaling more than $50,000 thanks to Jim Russell Racing Drivers School and PKC.
